Our students are front and centre
We believe that a student's wellbeing is directly related to a positive self-image and we strive to develop this through experiences of challenge, achievement and success and a focus on the whole child.
We have an extensive Wellbeing Team who, alongside the rest of the FIS staff, do their utmost every day to ensure that each child feels welcome, safe, valued and encouraged.
Our Wellbeing Program is a central pillar within the school and every student is supported at each stage of their development.
We ensure our students are front and centre by:
- encouraging learning as a lifelong pursuit;
- innovating and adjusting our approaches to counselling and learning to address student needs;
creating safe, caring and affirming learning spaces for all members of our FIS community;
being sensitive to our diverse population at FIS;
respecting cultural differences and values through our counselling practices and interactions with all members of the FIS community;
providing confidential and student-centered counselling services; and
collaborating with teachers and parents to explore the most effective methods to ensure each child has fun learning and reaches their fullest potential.
Our team does their utmost every day to ensure that each child feels welcome, safe, valued and encouraged.
