Opportunities for all types of leaders

Whether it be through our homeroom and house systems, student-led committees, community focused initiatives, or sports teams; FIS students learn to express themselves as mentors, organizers and contributors.

As central aspects of our guiding statement and the IB learner profile, we guide our students towards becoming balanced, caring and reflective risk-takers and leaders. With an emphasis on ownership and student-led learning, FIS students become leaders of their own education and active contributors both inside and outside of the classroom.

Students are given daily opportunities to explore their leadership style, develop leadership skills and find their own voice through our collaborative and student-led curriculum and our extra curricular offerings. We also encourage students to take part in the student-led committees that we have on offer (ranging from student councils to the Model United Nations).

FIS students become leaders of their own education and active contributors both inside and outside of the classroom.
