A Vision for the Years Ahead
A collaborative approach to Strategic Planning, our community was firmly involved throughout the process of creating our next five year plan.
During the 2020-21 school year, we invited the entire FIS community to provide input on the direction of our new Strategic Plan. We asked parents, students, staff and faculty to identify key future focus areas that they felt would further develop the school and its students as well as strengthen the community. Four overarching themes quickly emerged, becoming the four pillars of the new Strategic Plan: Learning & Teaching, Outreach & Development, Wellbeing, and Sustainability. Over the following months, a team of community representatives spent time unpacking each of these four pillars and developing the new Strategic Plan.
At the heart of FIS’ 2021-2026 Strategic Plan lies a commitment to providing an educational experience that is inclusive, empowering and impactful. The plan incorporates the aspirations of our community, the mission behind our guiding statement and the values of an IB learner; it is truly authentic and relevant to the entire FIS community. Providing us with a vision and a focus for the five years ahead, FIS’ 2021-2026 Strategic Plan showcases an ongoing commitment to improvement and lays out a roadmap for an ambitious future.
